Hemp vs CBD — Understanding the Difference

All products in our range use ingredients from the Cannabis Sativa plant. However, not all of them contain cannabidiol (CBD). Here is how to tell the difference.

Hemp cosmetics use Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil or Cannabis Sativa Seed Extract. These deliver the omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid profile of hemp seed to the skin. They do not contain cannabidiol. Our PALACIO Hemp Serie and BioHemp products fall into this category.

CBD cosmetics additionally contain Cannabidiol — listed as such in the INCI — at a declared amount per product. Our cannabellum and AmityCare products are CBD-declared. We list the CBD content clearly on every applicable product page.
