Every summer, Berlin becomes a little greener—and a lot more exciting. Mary Jane Berlin isn’t just a cannabis festival. It’s the largest cannabis exposition and fair in Europe. A mix of education, innovation, and community. A place where business meets culture and curiosity meets experience.
It all began in the late ‘90s, on one of Amsterdam’s busiest streets. Dror Gorany, a 24-year-old with a souvenir shop on Leidsestraat, kept getting the same question from wide-eyed tourists: “Got any weed?” He didn’t, at least not the kind that would get anyone high. With THC off-limits in regular stores, Dror started brainstorming.
When visiting Amsterdam, trying a space cake is a unique and delicious way to experience cannabis culture. Unlike smoking, eating a cannabis-infused treat provides a different kind of experience that lasts for hours and offers a milder, more gradual onset. Many coffeeshops in Amsterdam now offer not only THC-infused edibles but also CBD products for a more relaxing and non-psychoactive effect.
